UMSON RN to BSN or MSN?

Published

Hi everyone! I graduated with my ADN in 2010 and have worked between critical care and flex (housewide) since. I came out of a rough community college career with a 3.0 overall GPA and a 2.75 science GPA.

When I started college I didn't take it seriously and was on a different degree track. I took a break and then returned with my priorities in line.

It's hard not to laugh at my transcript (if it wasn't mine 😑) because I failed intro courses but yet excelled with an A in microbiology (when I returned and decided I wanted to be a Nurse) and such. I did have 1 C in nursing school (I hate now that they said C = RN 😡 Because it does not seem to equal MSN)

Many advice? Of course I need my BSN and I already have a lot of courses towards it. I really would like to go to UMSON and am also interested in their Nursing Informatics degree. I just don't know if it's possible or if I should stress myself out about it.

I wish I had just kept on back then but you know it seems you have forever in your 20's. Now at 34 with 3 kiddos under 4 I don't want to waste any time or $$ but I really want to go further.

Also for the RN to BSN did you have to take the TEAs?
