UMKC vs MidAmerica Nazarene

Nursing Students General Students

Published

I was just accepted in MidAmerica Nazarene's traditional BSN for next fall. I know it is a two year program and UMKC's is three years. I plan on applying to UMKC soon. I was wondering if anyone has been to either of these schools and what their experiences are? At UMKC, is it really helpful to have the extra clinical hours? Did it help you get a job after/during nursing school?

And regarding MidAmerica Nazarene, is the program very conservative and religious? I understand it is a Nazarene university but do the nursing professors have to incorporate Biblical teachings into their classes?

Anything you all can tell me would be greatly appreciated!
