Hi!!
I was accepted to the school and have applied for their nursing program. I took the Kaplan 2 weeks ago and it was a lot easier than anticipated. I ended up making a 76 on it. Now i'm just anxiously waiting until april to hopefully get an acceptance letter.
Good luck!
p.s. if anyone is wanting to live off campus and wants a roommate let me know!

Hi. I was accepted into the school last semester. I'm anxiously waiting for an acceptance letter. I heard they're usually sent out around mid April. Do you have to take any other prerequisites left to take? I'm currently completing AP 2 and Micro at CTC.
Good luck to you as well
Hey! I just got into the nursing program at UMHB as well and I'm also looking for roommates! If you're interested, let me know :) here's my email: [email protected]
Hello Everyone,
I'm currently taking my nursing prerequisites in Central Texas College and I would like to transfer to UMBH.
Wanted to know about the workload as compared to the community college. Am a bit worried
about applying cuz i hear it so hard to make it through their nursing school. Do they provide enough scholarship?

Hi. I'm not sure about scholarships since I use the GI bill but I'm sure they have a few.
As far as the workload, we're taking healthcare assessment and Essentials this semester. Both classes have long labs. It can be overwhelming if you have to take other non-nursing classes, so make sure you've taken all your science classes especially before starting. You'll have to take two bible classes (NT, OT) and attend Chapel throughout the semester.
Next Semester, we'll be taking 4 full nursing courses and were encouraged to complete our non nursing courses before we start N1.
Hope this helps. Sorry for the typos, I'm on my cell.

Would anyone be applying to UMHB for fall 2017? I was accepted into the school last semester and I'm currently completing my prereqs at CTC. I'm waiting for them to make the Kaplan's testing dates available to register. Deadline is March 1.
