UMB Adult Health/Med Surg Tips

So I'm about to head into my second semester at UMB and I just received the first of what will undoubtedly be many e-mails from my professor. He mentioned a lot of things to prepare the class for the upcoming work we'll have to do including organizing patho notes and studying the fluid/electrolyte lecture.

My big question is- this class is veeery intimidating to my right now. While I know it can be done and I have friends that have passed Med Surg, are there any former students out there that have any tips? I know Saunders was recommended because apparently there are a few test questions from there...anything else?

It would certainly be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Just FYI-I'll be heading into second semester Med-Surg at AACC. A group of us are planning on getting together to begin review as a group next week. You're not alone in your anxiety re: beginning med/surg. Our plan is to cover the basics, CV, Diabetes, Fluids/Electrolytes, and Pharmo/Patho basics. If nothing else, we feel al ittle less overwhelmed and "out of practice" come August 24th :)
