Hi everyone! I've been on this forum a long, long time now and I am so happy to share that I have finally made it!
I passed my NCLEX this month and I am now just waiting on my PA license being issued!
I have had major issues along the way (someone out of my control and sometimes I just gave up for a few months) with my process and application as you can see from previous posts. I also hit a bit of a hiatus when we moved to the US as we tried to adjust to life here.
This post is merely just me posting how proud I am that I finally did it! Such a heavy weight has been lifted from me. I am very fortunate to have a job as a registered nurse lined up - I started working as a PCA/tech this Summer for an organization who have supported me.
It can be done UK trained nurses! Thank you to previous postings on here/other members who have also had success stories - your positivity and guidance is much appreciated!
If any foreign educated- esp UK - trained nurses need some help, please reach out!

Congratulation once again , its not common for us to see uk trained nurse overcoming these credential evaluation hurdles.
I am currently in my final year as a mental health nurse , I'm wondering if it will be an easy ride for me to transition as I have already heard a lot of negative comments about how its a "NO NO" for mental health nurses trained in the uk . please can you share some tips and advise for me on things to do whilst im still in my student year !
Its a big hustle but im not backing out , its my dream to work as a nurse in the us .

Hi
Congratulations I've been following your story on this thread and it's really been inspiring. I am a Uk trained adult nurse who's been in A&E since qualification (2yrs now) I'm looking to move over to US but unsure if CGFNS review will be successful. I had an 8week placement in ED as a student don't know if that would help for peads and Obgyn deficiencies. What do you think?
