UK nurses heading over to Australia

Starting a forum for any nurses from or working in the UK. Just want to offer information from my experience and see what information others can provide.

I'm a theatre nurse looking to move over on a 457 sponsorship visa! I've just applied to AHPRA. I'm using Nurse Jobs Australia/Healthcare Australia which are a recruitment company/nursing agency. My friend is going on a working holiday and recommended them. They guided me through the nursing board registration process and gave us both advice on what visa was appropriate for our needs. They put me in touch with a consultant in the areas of Australia I'm interested in moving to and I have an interview next week!! WOO!!!

Basically NJA told me that the easiest way to get over there on a long term basis was to get sponsored on a 457 visa. There's also 176 state sponsorship but it can be a little bit more expensive and timely.
