Are there any other students who were waitlisted for the UIC Nursing Fall 2017 class? If so, what do you plan to do?

I have been put on the wait list as well. I don't really know what to do. What about you, do you know what you are going to do?
I applied to a few other nursing schools (NIU, Olivet Nazarene, Loyola) so I am waiting to hear back from those. But UIC was my top choice. I have some pre-reqs left so I'll take them this summer and just hope to hear back. If not, I'll go with another school I get into. Do you have a degree in another field? If so you could apply to some accelerated nursing programs. Or if you don't, you could always apply to ADN programs. I've heard they're easier to get into!

I'm also waitlisted
Plan is to apply to other schools and in case of getting accepted submit deposits to that school and all and just wait for UIC. If denied from UIC then I at least will have a back up

I got my waitlist email on March 17th and am patiently waiting for a spot to open up. Fingers crossed. It makes it a lot harder not knowing what my rank is. But my other option is Loyola which I've already been accepted to.
Hey you guys, can you see anything on your application status? I can't see anything about the "status" of my application such as "under review" for example.

Avoid Olivet Nazarene University ABSN in Oakbrook or at the central campus in Bourbanaois. They are complete fraud that will take your money and leave you hanging in the middle of the program. They admit anyone and then kick you after taking all your money in form of tuition in the middle of the program. Professors in this program are complete ridiculous and dont care. Go to a school where they teach you something and that you are able to graduate from without too much stress.

I agree with the comment posted by sunshine5009. I would avoid Olivet Nazarene University ABSN in Oakbrook and their nursing program at the main campus. Nursing itself is a tough major and when a school's staff members care do give a darn about their students other than to mislead and create trouble them, it makes life a living hell. This is the case with Olivet. They are very nice to you at enrollment, but once you are in the program, they will not help you at all. Go to another college such as chamberlain (they got accredited to be a University now called chamberlain University).
