So.... that was awkward.

Any ideas why the previous, perfectly good UCLA New Grad Summer 2011 thread was unceremoniously closed?

Strange. Are they automatically closed after they reach a magical 99 pages?

Anyway, this is just to continue that line of discussion. I hope we can keep the "flow" going (sound familiar to anyone who survived that horrid Talentplus interview? :rolleyes: ) on this newfangled UCLA Summer NG thread.

I got yanked off the waitlist a couple weeks ago (greatest call of my life: "Hello, we were just calling to see if you were still interested in the New Grad program in L&D..."). I did Talentplus, references, and then on 6/21 I had my interview with the UD. She sent me to meet the Assistant UD, tour the unit and meet people.....

.... and now I wait ever-so-politely-yet-nervously. I will PM you, ILoveUCLA, so we don't muddy up this thread with L&D-specific news.

Any other L&D people - feel free to PM me or post if you have news or just need to vent some wait-related stress!

I'm sending out prayers for our Good News - to come somewhat rapidly, I hope.

Well, NOW it appears that the old thread is no longer closed! Of course - right after I posted this new thread, but too late for me to remove it. I want to delete this unnecessary thread, but AN won't let me!

I guess we'll continue to chat on the old thread, and I'll just hope this one dies and fades away....
