So, here I am in my final year of nursing and I still am unsure of what I want to be doing.
I enjoyed postpartum, but dont really think its where I'm meant to be. Ive thought all along I wanted to do PEDS but my clinical rotation was a horrible experience. So i was just curious how anyone has picked one place that they wanted to work. and what units they have liked/disliked?

I'm pretty sure I want to work postpartum/Mother Baby. I did my summer volunteer there and I loved the environment. Before that I was considering L&D but I think I like the postpartum floor better. I also thought I'd like to work in peds, I haven't done the clinical yet but a lot of people said that most people change their mind about that field after clinicals.
It's okay to not know what you want to do. You might find something you like in another clinical, or you can experiment in different settings until you find one that suits you. Do you know what kind of things you like? Do you like a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patients?
I dont really know what I like yet. I am in high acuity now, so we will see how the whole "fast paced" environment works out! Im excited tho, just feel that Im not prepared as I should being a senior student. So I guess I will just go with the flow and see what I like and what everything has to offer.
