Hey. Im trying to get in to MCI in virginia beach. I just finished my Chem prereq with a 96%. I start my math and computer prereqs next week. Im planning on getting A's in those classes too. How ever I dont think I did super well on my teas exam at first. well enough to be competitive my councilor tells me but what is a good score? Any advice on what I should do to make my chances higher. I want this sooo bad. There were a few people in my chem class that I really thought were gonna get in but they didn't. Is getting A's in all the prereqs gonna be good enough, and do they look at your grades in high school. that was many years back for me and I know those grades weren't that grate. any suggestions/advice:)

Hi courtneyR26,
Just concentrate on doing well in the classes. Also, remember that the professors that you have right now will be questioned about the students in their classes. I didn't realize this until getting into my computer class. I just got in the September section. Just be yourself. They aren't just looking at grades. I think they look at interaction with others too. There were people that I thought would get in that didn't and I think it may have been because of their attitudes (even though they had good grades). I hope this helps. My suggestion is just to concentrate on what you will need to do to adjust to the intense schedule. Good Luck...

Courtney, Just continue to do great in your classes. I scored pretty bad on TEAS and I only got a B in the chem class(i transferred in my computer and math). After all that I think it came down to the interview. I went in to it confident and being myself. I got in and have been in now for 9 months. You will do just fine. Don't think about your other classmates. Focus on yourself. Get fabulous reference letters and write a great essay. Good Luck.
