I really loved the San Diego/La Jolla/Pacific Beach area. I would prefer to work in the La Jolla area. I found two hospitals Scripps Green and Scripps Memorial, does anyone know anything about them?

I haven't been looking long, but I ran across an agency that looks based out of CA, Continental Nursing? again, does anyone have any info/stories?

Thanks for any help.

If it were me, I would call their staffing office and inquire about which local agencies they use and then do a local agency contract with a start and end date. You will definitely make out much better because you'll be able to write off the housing and get that back vs. a travel company that won't allow that.

Also, you will have the ability to contract the number of weeks suitable for you, not a travel company like for example, maybe you only want a 4 or 6 or 8 weeker vs. a traditional 13 weeks assignment perhaps? That's an advantage right away. Let's say you want to look at the worst possible thing that can happen like losing your contract regardless of blame. If that happens, you'll owe the travel company for the cost of housing which can be hundreds or maybe more. If you supply your own housing that wouldn't happen at all and also, if you cancelled a contract, that would not be impacting you like a travel assignment. Many benefits.
