I'm looking to begin travel nursing soon but I since I only have 1 year experience, I'm not having much luck. I'm finding that most agencies/hospitals require a minimum of 2 years experience. Does anyone out there know of any agencies that will work with a RN who has just 1 year experience or did any of you begin traveling after your first year? I'd love to hear any feedback. Thanks!

I started traveling after about 16 months. I didn't have an issue with "agencies" that didn't take travelers with less than 2 yrs experience... Agencies would accept my app, but it was just that you were limited to what hospitals you could be submitted to because some hosptials require that. I got a job, it wasn't exactly what I wanted, but it was in my ideal location and I learned a lot. Then I switched to doing a mobile pool for a hospital system and was hired on easily without two full years.
So in short, you can probably apply, but you can't be picky. Some hospitals aren't going to want first time traveler with limited experience.
