Travel Nursing Questions

I have been considering travel nursing for quite some time now and would like to give it a try.

For those who have or are travel nurses, I would like to know which companies I should look into.

Also, has anyone out there ever had any dealings with Cirrus Allied, formerly MDI medical. I want to

work in Charleston, SC. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm a traveller, not to @#&$ on your plans or anything, but right now is not the time to take up travel nursing. Alot of hospitals have cut travellers all together. I've been a traveller for awhile, so it's easier for me, but it's a "buyer's" market. Hospitals are now being VERY picky as to who they want, because THEY CAN. Alot of hospitals won't even look at a new traveller, they want travellers who have been doing it for a 2-3 years. If your recruiter tells you different, they're not being honest.

I second that. I have been traveling about four years and if I could get a full time permanent position back home, I would be there. It is not the time to be traveling. The pay is considerably lower and the jobs are few and far between. Previously you could choose where you wanted to go...not anymore. Now you are happy to get the position. The last few jobs I have submitted for and received, I had been one of 283 and the last one I was one of 327! It is a very touch market. Stay put for now :)
