Travel to Corpus Christi, Texas

I am a 4 yr ICU (BSN) nurse and I'm interested in taking a travel assignment in Corpus Christi, Texas. This will be my first travel assignment, but lived in this town 15 yrs ago. Anyone care to share their experience travelling there or have any tips about the Christus Spohn system? I have kids and 2 dogs. Thanks!!

Corpus is growing, immensely. The traffic is going to be a lot worse than you remember 15 years ago. There are places to take your kids (aquarium, Lexington, art/science museum). They also just redid the mall.

I don't know much about the Spohn system but it seems to be people either love it or hate it.

Thank you for replying! I currently live in Arkansas and go to Corpus every year to visit my in-laws. I was curious about the ICU at Spohn and where travelers like to stay/experiences with short term leasing and lodging.

To that I don't have an answer for you, I'm sorry. I hope someone who travels can answer that for you. I've lived in the area but never traveled. Good luck!
