I'm working on creating a new SOP at my hospital where we are discontinuing the use of the rotoprone bed (because we are a small hospital and usually get the beds that are very old, basically the "leftovers") and moving to manually proning. I've done my research, but there aren't many studies out there that compare the two and there isn't that much data out there that shows how the hospitals nationwide tend to trend. Most of what I've read states that automatic proning and manual proning really has no difference except the man power involved. I'd like to get a little more information from ya'll based on experience and it would be even better if I could get insight on how ya'll made the transition from automated proning to manual proning. Thanks!
