transferring to a Nursing school. I need advices & help

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi everyone! Im a newbie here. I decided to join here because I wanted to ask for some advices and help.

I'm 21 yrs old. I've been in a community college for almost 3 yrs this August. I declared Nursing as my major.

I've been searching for some school to transfer to soon after getting an Allied Health Science at the end of this year in this community college.

I'm pressured and stressed out because not only that other schools have their wait list thingy but also schools based it on students high GPA. I've heard that some CSU & UCs only accept students with a 3.5 GPA & above.

My parents want me to finish studying anymore and told me to transfer to a private school that would accept me. Right now, my GPA is only 3.2. I have 12 more units left to fulfill until I could finally apply to any CSU school. However, I might not get accepted that easily because of my poor GPA.

Is there such way that I could transfer to a private school that match my GPA? If so, any suggestions?

I'm actually loosing hope and planning to change my major but becoming a nurse was the major I first fell in love with. =(

It's hard to let go.

All advices and suggestions will be so much appreciated.

Thank you so much in advance.
