Transferring to L&D in Oregon

Hi all,

I am moving soon to Portland, OR from the East Coast and am interested in a career change to L&D/ maternal health. I currently have over a year's experience in med/surg and have completed a Nurse Residency Program at my hospital, however, upon looking for jobs in the Portland area it appears that all jobs require at least a year in L&D or Mother/Infant specifically. Where I work now, transfers just require an extended on-the-job training, but it looks like I may be required to have additional trainings before being considered for a job out west. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for transferring to L&D from another specialty or knows of trainings I need to complete before hire.
