Transferring Fall 2011 to U. North Carolina

Published

Hi guys!

So here's the deal: I'm 85% sure I'm going to be moving next summer to Asheville, N.C. There is the UNC-Asheville, and of course in 'near by' Chapel Hill is the UNC School of Nursing- a very decent school for a BSN.

My problem is that I'm in Texas and already engaged in my nursing pre-reqs as a freshman/first semester student. A&P 1 and 2 will be done by then, as will Psych and Sociology.

What I'm having the hardest time figuring out is less will my A&P courses transfer, but (heh) what courses might transfer from UNC Asheville to UNC Chapel Hill? There is this master list, but both schools vary in their descriptions. The Course number for one course is different at the other, but they're part of the same system.

It's rather a big deal to me- that if I'm going to be in Asheville for a year or 2 that I want to get all of my pre-reqs completed prior to moving to Chapel Hill.

So which campus should I annoy: Asheville, or Chapel Hill (the main UNC)?

Also, curious about some of these reqs: Professional level (level 3) of a foreign language- how many hours is that? What? U.S. Diversity, The North Atlantic World (Western Civ?), Communication Intensive (what? is that a normal communication course?).

Anyone going to UNC School of Nursing from out of the UNC system would be great help here. Otherwise I just need some idea where to start annoying people to find my answers. Alternatively is anyone taking pre-reqs at UNC Asheville?

Thanks!
