I'm looking into Keiser's Associates in nursing program. However I was wondering whether Universities in Florida such as UM, FIU, FAU or NOVA accept Keiser students into their RN to BSN bridge programs. So I basically would like to know if you or anyone you know has attended Keiser University and was able to transfer to another university.

Yes, Keiser is both regionally and nationally accredited, and the ASN degree is fully transferable to both FIU and FAU; I would assume the same for Nova and UM. I'm currently in the Keiser program and plan on going for my BSN after graduation.
Best of luck!

How far along in the program are you and have you spoke with anyone regarding job prospects for a Keiser grad.
I'm only finishing up my first semester this December. As far as job prospects, I've "heard" they attempt to help with job placement, but given the job market down here in Florida, I'll have to wait and see. That's another big reason I'm jumping straight into a BSN program afterwards.
Thanks for your reply. I am in the process of deciding where to attend. I want to get in as soon as possible. I have applied to Remington and to Keiser. I did an orientation session at Herzing today. Remington's program is an Accelerated BSN for those who already have a Bachelors degree in another discipline. There program is only 1 year. There nursing program is program accredied but the school is not regionally accredited so if I want to move forward with an MSN or other advanced degree, I would not be able to. So the quandry is do I begin with the 2 year ASN at Keiser and then go for the BSN either at Keiser or another accredited program or go with the program at Remington to get in the field quicker while giving up a chance for advanced training in the future.
I spoke with a recruiter for one of the local hospitals today and she told me they hire students from Keiser and Remington. However, she encouraged me to pursue the BSN although she indicated they have hired ASN graduated but she said it is very competetive.
How do you feel about the program at Keiser thus far? If you feel uncomfortable sharing on the board maybe we can set up something where we correspond directly. Thanks.

Hi RNtobeErin,
I read your post and I see you go to Keiser. Can you give me an idea how are the classes? are there alot of testing? do they let u use notes? is the grading just base on your tests? any little info would help. Thank you.
