I have been taking courses online and I desperately need to transfer to a 2 year school here in ATL. My problem is that I went to a private school and found out the courses I took would not transfer out to another college. The school took my FA funds in which it covered my courses but now they are charging me for classes I did not take due to the lost they incurred of my Pell Grant when I did not finish up with them. I do not believe I owe the funds because I paid for my courses with my student loan and have to pay that back but when I contacted the school I never get a straight answer and they alway promise to give me a call back but never do. Since I will not be transferring these credits into another school I have to start all over with my courses, but I want to do it right this time. Do you know of a good school that will allow me to use my FA and student loans while going to school, even if it is for the first semester and I would just have to take my first refund and pay this private school off. :crying2:

PS: I have read other post about not wanting to wait it out. believe me you would be better off waiting? that is what go me into this mess to begin with. Most private trade schools are accredited but you then find out there are different accrediations and they do not tell you that until it is too late- This school took over 7000 from me for the first semester- and now they want more. :banghead:

I would think that just about any good public school would let you get on some sort of a payment plan. If you google nursing schools in GA you can find lists of which ones are public and accredited, and it usually lists the contact info. Maybe try some place like Georgia Perimeter or Georgia State if you're looking in the Atl. area. Good luck!

You know I never thought about a payment plan with GPC - I will look into that because even if I have to use my income tax return to pay it off I will just do that to move forward- this is not worth my nursing lic if you know what I mean. :yeah:

Do you live in ATL what school are you attending?

Yeah, nothing is worth your license! I live in the Woodstock/Canton area and I'm trying to get into GHC for this spring. I should know if I'm in or not today or tomorrow. Good luck with everything! I know for a fact that KSU will help you out with financial aid stuff, I got my first degree there and they were always really awesome about that stuff.
