Hello,

I am new to this nursing forum and teach a class on death/dying to nursing students at a midwest university.

I'm working on a project and hope nurse educators around the country will briefly answer the following questions (Yes/No fine - if you'd like to add a comment - great!).

Does your nursing program:

1. Include classes on death and dying?

2. Include information on nearing-death awareness or pre-death visions that terminally ill patients may report?

3. Include information on near-death experiences?

Your participation is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time.

sorry, replied twice

Does your nursing program:

1. Include classes on death and dying? -

Yes, we do.

2. Include information on nearing-death awareness or pre-death visions that terminally ill patients may report?

I will be including some experiences in this area from experiences I have had in my Hospice practice. Our curriculum covers this as a single sentence relating to decreasing cerebral perfusion, that clients may "talk to dead loved ones."

3. Include information on near-death experiences?

As above
