Hi all,
I am having trouble finding an answer to my question so I thought I'd turn to those 'in the know.'
Patient is a geriatric male with hx of gout for quite a while, tophi formation frequently, one erupted on his toe and we healed it (amazingly) after pulling out the big tophi blob, now he has one on his finger. We finally pulled out the 'blob' of tophi but now have a crater, just like on his toe. I want to know the right way to heal these things, for now and in the future for this patient. Do we pack just like a pressure ulcer that has a crater-like appearance? Please let me know.
Thanks!

I would like to know too. How difficult was it to pull out the blob? This one is on the heel and is about 1 inch by 1/8 inch.
