Took the TEAS 6 and was Wondering if I can Retake just One Section?

Nursing Students TEAS

Hi everyone,

I am applying to CCBC's nursing program and probably the ATB program as well. All they say about their requirements for the TEAS scores is that you need a 69% or high for reading and at least Proficient overall.

So I just took the TEAS 6 on 12/20/16 and I just got my scores. I got:

Overall..... 74%/ Proficient

Reading.... 78.7%

Math........ 90.6%

English..... 75%

science..... 57.4% ):

I am pretty much okay with everything but science. There was way more general bio and chem than expected and much less anatomy than I expected. I haven't taken chem since soph year of hs (I'm taking it next semester) and haven't taken gen bio since my first semester of high school. I know I can pull that science score up way higher if I just do a quick refresher of those sections. SO, my question is, are you allowed to retake just one section of the TEAS 6, or would I have to retake the whole thing?

If I can only retake the whole thing, I'm debating about just sticking with what I have because I have a competitive GPA. What do you all think?

I also found a table online saying that an advanced score in science is 66.7%, which is what's making me consider just sticking with what I have if I have to retake the whole test.

It depends on the program. I know if I didn't score high enough on one particular section I would have have to retake the whole thing. But I have seen programs that let you retake your lowest section but I think it was only if you didn't get the minimum accepted score.

I can't imagine you could retake ONE section of the TEAS. I also think it would skew the whole point of the thing, I imagine most people would do better on all sections if they could take them one at a time. I have never known of any standardized test where you can take ONE section at a time.

The easiest way to resolve this would be to actually call ATI. I highly doubt this is possible.
