I feel like I probably did fine on the written part, and on 4 out of my 5 skills. HOWEVER, I got the dreaded "Applying vest restraint" skill. The one that is most failed out of all of them because you have to tie a knot in a very particular way. If you don't do it right, automatic fail. I got the feeling that the part around the waist wasn't tight enough, but my knot was secure and easily undone with one pull. The RN observer told me it was "OK" and to go ahead and finish the skill. I will be so mother freaking angry if I fail based on this. The kicker is that our instructor never told us that the tightness of the restraint around the waist was a MAJOR issue, it was the knot itself. Now I have to wait until Wednesday to find out. Please send good vibes my way- I'm so nervous!

I'll be sending good luck and prayers your way! That particular skill is not one of ours for the state of Arizona. I, however, went in for my state test a week ago and passed the written test but failed my skills test for handwashing...yes, handwashing!!! The test observer reported that I recontaminated my hands...which I DID NOT. I knew that if I had any doubt in my mind that I touch anything or felt that I did not perfect my skill, that I would ask to start over. I finished that skill knowing I perfected it. The others I got were Bed Bath, Transfer w/c to bed, Mouth Care - brushing teeth, Making an Occupied Bed. So I am disputing my results for the handwashing. Please wish me luck on that! I hope you hear you passed! Good luck!!:)
I did pass, but not 100%- I missed two really stupid things on my skills test- I didn't dry the equipment when I cleaned out the graduate after I emptied the urinary drainage bag, and I didn't tuck in the sheets at the bottom of the bed when I made the unoccupied bed. I got 97% on the written part. NOT an easy test. Thanks for your support- I hope you are able to get your issue resolved soon! Good luck!
