I took my Nclex RN yesterday and it shut off at 75 questions. I'm freaking out because I think I got the last question wrong. I went in expecting to get at least 100 questions. I am an above average student and did fairly well in the 60 percent on uworld and did ok with Hurst. I felt really prepared but towards the end of the test it was getting really hard and I began to second guess myself a lot. I hate the waiting game. I'm not going to do the PVT trick, I'll wait it out. I don't have a question just looking for similar, reassuring stories of feeling like a complete failure after your exam and still passing. TY

I WAS YOU TWO WEEKS AGO.
I was an above average student in nursing school and I scored in the 50s-60s in uworld. I took my exam on a Saturday and stopped at 75 and I felt like a complete and utter failure. I went home and my mom (a nurse for 20 years) was so excited to learn that I stopped at 75 bc she thought it automatically meant you passed. But I had to keep reminding her that you can also fail at 75 and I sobbed on her shoulder for a while thinking that I didn't pass at all!
I live in Fl so you would know if you passed the very next morning in the MQA website but that didn't apply if you took yours on a Saturday so I had to wait 48 hours for my results ! It was a torture waiting an entire day for me. what my mom or friends didn't know was that a couple of days before my exam, I was offered a nursing position at the same hospital as my mother and also the best in our part of Florida so all I thought about was how disappointed they'd be if I didn't pass. I wanted to do the PVT trick but couldn't bring myself to risk $200 on a trick that isn't reliable at all so I waited it out for the next day and sure enough I passed :) !
This is website really helped me out through my NCLEX journey. What really helped me get through was this post that said something like "you have a better chance of passing than failing." And I looked at the statistics at it read that about 80-90% pass the first try!
Just try to keep busy! Wait it out and stay positive. You most likely passed bc the exam WANTS YOU TO PASS! Good luck!
Wow, your story is so similar to mine. My mom is a nurse as well for 32 years, she was pregnant with me through nursing school and when I told her it cut off at 75 she did the exact same as your mom. She screamed and was like "oh my gosh you passed, you passed!!" I had to explain to her that it's not graded how she thinks it is and telling her it could mean either pass or fail. She's still convinced I passed. I'm catching up on some cleaning I neglected during the last couple weeks trying to pass the time. I'm in Texas and our quick results aren't available until 48 hours but the BON updates every Tuesday and Thursday, so it's said if you test on a Tuesday, which I did; then your license should post on Thursday if you passed. Either way I'll know tomorrow. I also have a job already lined up and I'm supposed to start on Monday long as I pass. So much PRESSURE!!! Thank you so much for your reply, sometimes just hearing other peoples stories really helps you get through the anxiety!
Got my results today and I PASSED!!!!
