Hello everybody:nurse:
I'm a nurse from Saudi Arabia, and I'm fascinated about the education and health care in U.S and other western countries, but I cannot offer traveling abroad for studying. In my nursing school most of the faculty are Egyptian who are graduated from Egyptian nursing schools
Currently I'm in master in clinical nursing program in OBGYN specialty, with special concern to midwifery, and we are required to do thesis in any topic about OBGYN, BUT it should be clinical research. As I don't have much exposure with OBGYN cases in my previous experience, I need your help and opinion to choose a topic.
Among many topics GDM, contraception, uterine fibroid I cannot find a research question! And again it should be clinical
Secondly, my question to those who had a degree in midwifery how the study was, how the exams was, what was the requirements??
For me I don't like the way the exams are:down:, we had two exams during the semester it is an open ended, non specific questions that we have to fill pages of writing!! Items for evaluation are not clear except that for example a specific question have 20 points.
For example: what is your role as a midwife in caring for a patient during labor and delivery? And we have not only to address nursing intervention during each stage of labor and delivery but to write about a physiology and have our outlines before we start writing, the time is never enough, I don't stop writing during exam, and when corrected always the teacher will signal something lacking that cause reduction in our mark even sometimes she signal something which seem unrelated!! I need your opinion about this
And thank you very much :)

There are tons of things that are researchable, an easy one might be the value of a quick fetal fibronectin test for managing preterm labor patients. Good luck.
