If any of you attend Holmes CC ADN Program (and are 2nd year), I will see

you on Aug. 17. I will be giving a documentation inservice re: Tampering with the Medical Record, and how to document/chart to protect yourself if

you are ever named in a lawsuit.

COngratulations on your inservice, and on making it to your second year at HCC. I graduated in 00 from good ole "Harvard on the Highway" So far I haven't been involved in any lawsuits, thank God.

Guess I need to clarify. I've been a nurse for 27 years, and just recently

became a Legal Nurse Consultant. Working mostly with Medical Malpractice

and Personal Injuriy cases, but now concentrating on criminal cases/abuse.

(Nurse Forensics). I will be doing the documentation inservices at several

of the schools of nursing this fall. I'd much rather see them in a class

setting learning how to chart than sitting across the table being torn to

shreds in a deposition because of their documentation (or lack of).

I graduated from Hinds. (Good ole Hiney-Ho).
