I have worked in retail management for the last 13yrs, and as everyone knows, there is no job security in retail anymore. I have closed one store this year already and just find out the company that im currently working for has filed bankruptcy and I will be jobless once again by the end of the christmas season. I was considering becoming a cna. Anybody have any input on this.

CNA work isn't the most glamorous but it can be very rewarding. If you enjoy taking care of people and don't mind the down and dirty then I say go for it! Not sure how the pay will compare to what you've been making. CNA's generally don't make a lot of money. I have a part time job as a CNA and make more per hour than my husband who is in food management. I'm honestly only doing it until I can get my RN. I only wish the pay were better! I was started out at $9/hour with a $2 shift diff for working weekends.
