Texas Woman's University (TWU) FNP-Online Fall 2024

Hey everyone! 

I haven't seen a thread for the Fall 2024 cohort of TWU's FNP program yet so I thought I'd start one. I applied this month. Has anyone else applied for the online program or anyone here currently in the online program willing to tell about your experience with TWU so far? I am enrolled in UTA for fall but really hoping I get accepted to TWU so I can transfer.

Hello! I applied for the 2024 Fall Cohort back in February. Still awaiting a department decision. Anyone received an admission letter yet?

Hey I talked to one of the admissions counselors and they said it's about a 3 month turn around so maybe you'll hear back sometime this month.

Has anyone heard back yet? I applied early February. I saw on the website that they're no longer accepting applications as the program is full.

I applied in early February.  I spoke to someone in admissions last week and she said that they are just starting to accept people from applications submitted in January.  She said they will not have a wait list and that if you are accepted, it is expected that you are going to attend.  In the time that I've been waiting I received a huge promotion and am trying to decided if I can still manage to work and do the program.  I had considered asking if I could defer for a year.  She was not happy about me even inquiring if that were a possibility!  If I get in, then I will attend.  I was just trying to analyze my options.  
I'm curious if maybe they are considering dropping the FNP for just DNPs.  Seems like a lot of schools are moving that direction.

I was able to speak to an admissions advisor. It sounds like they are rolling out acceptances now and doing it first come first serve. People that applied in December or January are getting letters first then so on and so forth. If I heard correctly the first wave of acceptances had 15 letters? hopefully that means more of us will hear within the coming weeks.

Hello! Also still waiting for acceptance, applied in February as well. I was wondering if anyone knew how many students they take total per semester?

I applied end of January and just got my acceptance email today!

I got an acceptance letter from the hybrid program at TWU today but still have heard nothing back about online and I applied for online first, it's taking them so long to get me a decision for online.
