Texas Woman's University (TWU) Fall 2025

Hello everyone,

Noticed there was no topic for the TWU Fall 2025 cohort. Could be early, but I want to know how everyone is doing! I'm currently in the process of writing my personal statements. I know the program is very competitive, so I wanted to share my stats and hopefully receive some honest feedback on my chances of admission:

GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 

Cumulative: 90.7%

Reading: 89.7%

Math: 94.1%

Science: 93.2%

English: 81.8%

Just submitted my application! Are we supposed to sign up for the background check now?

Pretty sure you can do it anytime before the time of enrollment, although I would wait until I confirmed whether or not I was accepted into the school first before doing one.

Gotcha, was just a little confusing when reading the instructions on the application.

 Is there a timeframe on when we'll receive admission notices?

No idea, but from last year's applications we can expect it maybee late-March to mid-April?

I am trying to apply for the Houston location. Would anyone know how competitive is it? GPA? TEAS scores? I made an 81 on my TEAS and I'm currently studying to re-take in hopes I get a higher score. But just in case, how would that look like in my end? Do they also consider previous work experience? How about the personal statements? Thank you everyone and Goodluck! I'm trying to apply for the Houston location too. From what I've seen and been told, at least for transfer students who have no prior medical experience or achievements, TWU is looking for TEAS scores around  84-85% with 3.6-3.7+ GPA. Work experience definitely improves your application. Personal statements are pretty important too.

If I applied to the Dallas location but don't get accepted, if qualified would I be accepted into the Houston section or would I be considered like "last priority". I'm just trying to figure out how that works. :') 

Now that the Denton location will be opened up do you think less people will apply to the Dallas location?

Thank you! You have really great stats in pretty sure you will get in. I worry about mines. My GPA is only 3.64 and my first yeast is avg 81%. So now I'm gonna re-taking really praying I get a higher score. How competitive do you think Houston will be?

Hmm, I did hear about the Denton one opening up. I would assume that will ease up the competition for the Dallas location because I know it's suuuuper competitive. As for last priority I don't really know the answer to that tbh..

Competitive but probably less when compared to Dallas. From what I've heard it's roughly a 15% acceptance rate depending on the cohort

So I realized this really late but you're supposed to have the background check completed or in-progress by the admission deadline.
