Texas Tech RN to BSN

Published

Hi! I just got admitted to the Texas Tech RN to BSN program in the spring 2019 and was wondering if I should do the 2 or 3 semester program? I will not be working so I can just focus on school. What is your recommendations? Or what was your experience if you went through this program? Thank you :)

I am applying to the RN to BSN this Fall and I was wondering how did yours go? How is the work load? I planned on working at least 2 days a week and i want to do the 2 semester program

Hi! It's really not bad at all, the most you take is two courses every five weeks. If you're working 2 days a week I would say you will be able to do the 2 semester no problem. You do write lots of paper so familiarize yourself with APA because some instructors grade heavily in regards to that. I had about three groups assignments, tons of paper, quizzes, and a few final examinations. The instructors are really friendly and will work with you if you have questions or if something comes up beyond your control will grant you an extension. I have made A's in all the courses so it's very doable and made for working nurses. I graduate next week so I'm super excited about having this under belt. Good luck!!

Congratulations!!!! and thanks for responding. One more question. How long are the papers and how often do you have to submit one? If you don't mind can i sent you my number and u call me at your convenience?

Hey Lmdorley! Did you do this program? I'm looking into starting it soon. I haven't decided on a RN to BSN program yet. I'm also wondering on the papers, the length and how often. If you don't mind, how has the experience been for you, and the overall difficulty? I will be working full time and will be a part of a nurse residency program that will keep me busy on it's own. I am wanting to pick a RN to BSN program that will get the job done but isn't incredibly difficult and time consuming if that's possible haha

How have your classes been going?

I am currently enrolled in Texas Tech RN to BSN program Spring 2022. I also will be in a nurse residency program that will keep me extremely busy.  I will like to know the workload and the level of difficulty of the program Which classes may I double up on? I will like to successfully complete the program in 2 semesters.  Please help, any advice will be helpful.

I ended up doing UT Tyler RN-BSN. They required less prerequisites. I love it here! The teachers are very nice and understanding. The workload isn’t very heavy.

Congratulations! Yes I did noticed the prerequisites for Texas Tech was a lot. Do you think the classes are similar? How is the workload for your program? Thank you for responding. I really appreciated it.

Thanks! Yes classes at all RN-BSN programs are similar. The workload is not heavy so far. I started in the fall since I graduated Spring 2021. I did a lot of research on the programs and found UTT was best for me. It’s on the smaller side so the professors are willing to reach out if you need help.

Awesome! Thank you for all your help.
