For the cohort beginning January 2027; the DNAP application opens December 15, 2025. The application deadline is May 15, 2026. Early submission is recommended.

 

BSN or appropriate bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.

Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse

Prerequisite courses:

Anatomy & Physiology I (or its equivalent)

Anatomy & Physiology II (or its equivalent)

Microbiology

Chemistry, Biochemistry or Organic Chemistry (at least one course in chemistry is required for admission)

Official GRE scores submitted in NursingCAS

Minimum of one year experience in critical care, two years are recommended

Certification in BLS and ACLS

CCRN exam score sheet

CCRN certificate or AACN letter of certification

CV or resume

Three professional recommendations, one from a current supervisor

Shadowing Experience Form

Work History Verification Form
