Tennessee Tech. Center Murfreesboro LPN Program

Published

Hi everyone! I am planning on starting the LPN program at Tennessee Tech Center in Murfreesboro this fall and I was wondering if anyone here had gone through it? I really have no idea what to expect  and I was wondering if anyone could share. Do I have to have my background check and physical when I turn in my application or does that all come after I get accepted? Class, clinicals, supplies, uniforms, costs :twocents:... I really would like to hear about all of it! Thanks guys! Happy nursing! :nurse:

Hi :) I actually just got accepted into the PN program at the Ripley/Alamo campus and will start in May. I'm assuming that your school and mine shouldn't have too many diff since they are both in TN.

I'm not really sure when the background check will be done or if it has been done on me yet. I wasn't responsable for getting it myself(the school will be doing it but charging me). I know that the state will do a background check before you are able to be licensed.

My physical doesn't have to be turned in until the first day of class. We had over 100 ppl apply for the class and had 40 at orientation and only 26 got selected for the class. They didn't want ppl having to pay for the physical only to find out they didn't get in, so they told us to wait until we got the phone call saying we were in before getting the physical.

The total cost for the TTC @ Ripley program is 5,039.

The first trimester is 2,124

Second is 1,305

Third is 1,610

for the grand estimated total of 5,039

The price includes all books, supplies, Board fees, background checks, drug testing, and tuition fees

Good luck on getting in...Hope this helps some:)

Oh and I'm not sure how far into the process you are but once you pass the test required for the program you should be invited to orientation and they will explain everything you need to do then such as when everything has to be turned in and what all you will need to have done before your interview.

This is all pretty new to me to but if you have any more questions about the process of getting started let me know :)
