Technical Difficulties

I'm apologize in advance if the answer to this is somewhere on this site.....I just can't find it. I am somewhat anal (I hate that word but it's all I could think of right now) about English/grammar/punctuation/etc. and I have noticed that when I "quote" a post and then type my comment, I am able to insert paragraphs. However, when I simply "reply" at the end of the thread, I am not given the option to insert paragraphs. Even when I go back to edit and insert spaces, it still appears as one long rambling post on the thread. Anyone else have the same problem or a solution? I appreciate it....I don't enjoy reading run-on posts and I'm sure others don't either.Thanks :) I have a feeling this post is going to be an example of this....
