TEAS VI ATI

Published

Hi,

I am going to take TEAS VI in 2 weeks. I am really stressing out because I've heard that it's very hard and a lot of people fail. Do you guys know if I need to know the conversion formulas for that test for example from Fahrenheit to Cesium to kelvin, inch to cm, tbsp. to ml, etc... or they will be given to me if needed for the test.

Please any response will be a big help!

Thank you so much!!

I'm not sure you can technically fail the TEAS, but the average is about 65%. (Of course, some programs accept those scores and admit those who make a 65%.) I don't think the test is necessarily hard. The reading and English are SAT-level (or below), and the math is middle school to early high school level. The science is mostly A&P. I think the difficulty of the test comes from it having a broad scope. Especially with the science, you can be tested on a lot of different systems and subjects. I also think a lot of people don't really know the actual rules of grammar, just write based on what they've read and been taught, so it's hard to be able to pick out the a grammatically correct sentence when you don't really know the actual rule.

My exam gave conversions from US to metric system, though I did not specifically have any temp conversions, so I can't say totally for sure if those are given. You will need to know how to convert among the metric system, such as converting kilograms to grams or milligrams.

I've read that most people study one month in advance before taking the TEAS so I'm hoping that you given yourself an ample amount of time to study. I am planning to take the TEAS in April so that's about 2 months of preparation.

I am currently taking my prerequisites and I have a friend who just took her's last week. She took the new version. She said it is VERY HARD.

Especially the science part.
