TEAS V - earlier or later date?

Published

There are two dates available for me to take the TEAS before my March 1 application deadline - January 7 and February 11. I'm having trouble deciding which to take.

Pros for 1/7 - if I do poorly, I can take it again 2/11. Cons - I'm scheduled to work that day, so I'd have to find someone to cover my shift. It's earlier, so less study time. I'm taking Anatomy next semester, and classes won't have even started by then.

Pros for 2/11 - More time to study, more experience in Anatomy. Cons - Reeeeally close to my application date.

I just can't decide. Will a week or two of Anatomy really make that much of a difference? Should I just go for the earlier date?

1-2 weeks of anatomy won't help much if any. all of the anatomy on the teas v is in the study manual anyway. i would say go for the earlier date so that you can retake it in february. when i retook it the 2nd time it was the same version of the test so i had gotten a signifcantly higher score since the questions were reused. depends on the schools you apply though. if the school only lets you take it once, take the later date and prepare for it. if not, it is better to take it as many times as you can :)
