Hello, I wanted to start by saying this message will apply to those that are considering a LVN or RN program and need to pass the TEAS test version 6, which I believe started sometime at the end of 2016 or at the beginning of 2017. I also wanted to point out that I live in California and took the test in San Jose. I will start with the fact that, I got a 75% overall score, I got 73 percent on reading, 85% on math, 80% in science and a shocking 58% on English lol. Let me start by saying, this test is hard and very I mean very tricky. With reading that put all of the long passages and questions in the front of the exam, so my advice for you is to start the reading exam at question 53 or 48 and work your way up to question 1, also if the question is hard skip it and answer it at the end when you can spend more time on the question, this will allow you more time and a better score. Math was way easier then the Ati practice A and practice B pre-test, but get a journal and add all of the algebra, geometry, and word problems down and continue to flash these formulas up until the day of the test. For science I would suggest taking as many practice test App questions A and P book and write all of them on flash cards and memorize everything and continue to flash the flash cards until the day of the test. Also when they ask you questions try to look up the definition or the functions of everything even if its not the question or you got the question right. There is so much science and even if your prepared like I thought I was you can still walk away with 80 percent and thinking how did I even get 80 percent I don't even know what they even asked me lol. English is way harder then the practice test or app questions they try to trick you by putting 4 questions that all look the same and hard to figure out the correct answer. Some would say that 75 percent is poor and some would say it's acceptable and some will say I wish I had that. I just thank god I passed. Make sure you take your 3 10 minute break because you don't want to rush or give up during the test like I did at the end. Make sure you study 2 months 1 month if your a genius that gets A's without studying, if your a B and C student minimum of 2 months. If your a C and D students 3 to 6 months no joke . Some people will lie and try to downplay this exam but it's very hard and time consuming. Take a lot of test and time yourself. Take a lot of flash cards and put new words and definitions. I was asked 5 times would I used a encyclopedia dictionary or the thesaurus. Also for your science no where all your organs and where all the chemicals are secreted from, I was asked a lot about layers of skin. I don't want to say to much more cause I'm not sure what is allowed but study your AS$$$$$$$$ off. Get enough sleep and don't get nervous, I hope this helps someone lol

On the reading portion, was the passages difficult to read? I am struggling with this section.
