We didn't do the TEAS when I went through nursing school, although I hear they do it now.
I would try the Students forums. I've seen lots of TEAS talk over there.
At any rate, don't worry about being out of school for a while. I started again at 32, and a lot of my classmates were older than I was. The best news? At the end of the road, all but one of us "older ladies" was still standing. We lost a lot of whippersnappers along the way.
Good luck!!!

I bought the study guide off the ATI website and studied that for a week or two before the test. It was very helpful because it was similar to the actual test. Also, time management is very important. Make sure you don't spend too much time on one question, because each section is timed. Good luck!

If you are nervous, some sample questions can be found here:

I took it in June and it's not that bad.

I took it two weeks ago and did very well. I didn't bother shelling out any money for an exam book or the online practice exam. I did, however, do all the 'free' practice questions on the TEAS website. If you understand how to approach each of the various types of math problems, you'll be in pretty good shape for that section. You should definitely review high school science basics for each of the following areas: earth science, physical science, life science, and chemistry (use the practice questions to guide you on specific topics to review). Reading and English are exactly the same types of items as in the practice questions.
