TEAS questions

I am new to allnurses.com and I am so glad I found it! I am currently studying an ATI study guide to help me prepare for the test. Can anyone tell me how much time you get on each section of the test and how many times you can take it? Or does it depend your school? Any advice would be helpful... thanks so much!

This is what my pamphlet says:

Reading 40 questions, 50 minutes

Math 45 questions, 56 minutes

Science 30 questions, 38 minutes

English 55 question, 65 minutes

for a total of 170 questions, 209 minutes

I'm not sure as to how many times you can take it. I passed on the first try, but I remember hearing people talk about taking it again. I'm assuming we could take it as many times as needed to pass.

I think the school decides how many attempts a student can make. My school allows two attempts, but I've seen others post that they were allowed more. I took the TEAS last summer and prepared with the ati guide. It wasn't that difficult, I go a 90.

I'm so glad you asked and that the others answered because I had been wondering those same things. I'm taking mine tomorrow.

One more question, if I may:

Do you learn your results immediately or are they mailed to you at a later date? Thanks!

We learned our scores immediately. You will also be able to log into the ATI website at home and print the score sheet.

My score was mailed to me about 2 weeks later!

Thank you for the info. Now I can study with the time limits in mind. Are any of you pre-nursing students?

You're welcome. I'm in 3rd semester. Good luck!

I was told my results immediately.

Hi. I'll be starting an accelerated BSN program in about 7 weeks. My school doesn't require it for admission. However, if you get an unsatisfactory (whatever that means) score on any one section, you have to do remedial work...in addition to the 7 classes you already have to take in the fall.
