Teaching student nurses electronic charting

I would like any information on how hospitals or education departments are handling teaching student nurses electronic charting. I would be very interested in policies and procedures, agreements with nursing schools, etc.

At our last clinical site, it is up to the INSTRUCTORS to train the students in the QMI system. The hospital provides a big training room with about 19 computers, sometimes a facilitator person for the first 15 minutes, but after that, we are basically on our own. We have a checklist to follow of certain computer skills for our students. It is really rough those first few days of clinical.... not only are you attempting to teach the students nursing skills, but clinical time becomes a computer course as well!!!!
