I have a prerequisite GPA of 3.67 and I ended up with a 92 on the HESI exam which totaled me out with 146.7/160 points. I was looking on TCC's website earlier today and noticed that they moved the deadline to September 19th... so we will probably have to wait longer to find out if we made it in or not.
I am so nervous. I've been working on this a long time! My GPA is decent, and my HESI score was awesome, but I can't shake how competitive it is to get in.
Does anyone know how many people applied this semester?
Also, what's the deal with microbiology? One advisor told me it's used as a tie breaker, another told me it is used as extra points regardless.
Neisa is the Nursing Program Advisor so you should probably check with her. Her email is [email protected]
It says this on the site.
In the event that two or more students have an equal number of points, residents of TCC's service district, veterans and students who have completed all the corequisite non-nursing courses will receive first consideration. Corequisites include one general education humanities course, plus MCB2004 General Microbiology and MCB2004L Microbiology Laboratory.

So I looked through the site and found nothing for the spring semester of 2017 for TCC. I'll start. My prerequisite GPA is 3.2, 3.0 if I include microbiology with my HESI score at 90%. I turned in the application on TCC passport which was a little confusing because I got a general "Thanks for submitting" from the site. Now it's just the long 6 to 8 week wait time.
