I am a BSN working part time at a local nursing home. A retired RN now signs the MDS and an LPN does the work currently. I have offered to take the on-line course at home. It appears you can download the material for study but need to take exam on line. Need to know from anyone who already did this... Can I take the time to look up an exam answer from my homeprinted material while taking the test online if I am unsure. Is there enough time during the exam to do this or do I have to answer within a specific time limit?

I took the test online- its no time limit-however its best 2 read the material 1st-then take the test- it is a total of 10 test-good luck!
Thanks - didn't think anyone would reply .. I feel more reassured now.
Your welcome......u will be fine ! :)

Sounds like the mds cert through AANAC. You have 10 courses/test to take to get certified through them.
