Taking individual courses - NP program

Is it possible to take the theory-based courses that are part of the NP Program without being part of the program....I.e. Advanced Practice Nursing in primary care, pediatrics, acute care, etc? (as a non-degree-seeking student)

If so, which schools allow that? The cheaper the school the better it would be for me.
