I taking the first of the three sciences I have to take I was worrying if it good to take the A&P II and Micro together in the spring semester to get in the nursing program a semester earlier if I was to take all of them seperate. I really don't know what to do. I really want to keep my GPA high because that what the school go by to get in the nursing program. I just really wanted a support group for people in a similar situation like me so I hope to get responses. Thanks for reading

I was in the same situation. Take A&P 1 and see how it is and how you do. To me it was a totally new experience from other college classes. After you've finished that, you'll know how much time it consumes and what you have to do in order to be successful. Ask around to see what micro is like, what teachers are good and any advice they had. I personally asked my A&P 1 teacher at the end of the class if she thought I could do it. She had been my teacher for several months and she knew what the other classes were like. She told me I was ok, if I had no other distractions.
I quit my job for the summer, and took micro and A&P 2 together in an 8 week summer session and got A's in both.
The GPA stress is the same at my college. It's such a competition and you need like damn near straight A's to get in.
Good luck with what you do, keep me posted :)

Kina, what college do you attend? And is it the nursing program that requires such a high GPA to get in, or just the college in general? Is is Centre, by the way?
