I was considering studying really hard and taking the teas early so I have less to stress about when I apply to programs. I am applying either early next year or the begging of the next year after that (2013) so my main concern is when the next teas test will be created (It would be a waste to spend so much money on a test that can't be used anymore!).Also, I have heard that some programs won't accept tests that you have taken at an earlier date (even though they use that version) or want you to wait until they ask you to take it (from a nurse on my last post). I would like to take the test early, but I don't want to risk not being able to use it for any reason. Should I call the schools and ask them their feelings about pre-taking the test or go ahead and take it (if no new versions of teas are coming out soon) and submit it with my application? Thanks:nurse:
(I will be applying to Merrit, Chabot, and Ohlone CC's in California)

I read somewhere that most schools accept a test result that is two years old. Some schools even allow a four year old result.
When a new version of the test comes out that doesn't mean all schools suddenly change their requirements. But they will eventually...
I agree that your best bet is to talk to someone at the nursing school and hear their opinion on it.

The school I am applying at accepts tests up to a year old. I would just call and find out what they accept so your not worried about it.
