Taber's Dictionary Edition

Published

Hello all! I have a quick question in regards to the newest edition of the Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary. Has anyone noticed a difference between the 22nd and 23rd edition? I'm a new student and would rather spend less money on the 22nd edition, it's also a thumb-indexed hardcover, whereas the newest edition is not. But it may just be best to stay completely updated! I also see there is a downloadable version as well?

Thanks for your time!

The changes from edition to edition are mild evolution and unlikely to impact you.

I'd get the 22nd.

I've got PDFs of the 21st and the 23rd and I see nothing about the 23rd to warrant paying for that in favor of the 21st or 22nd.

Personally, I favor electronic copies because they are searchable and indexable.

Thanks for the quick response! I think I will go the cheaper route for now then and may pay for the phone app and web access down the road. I wasn't able to find just a straight downloadable PDF from a reliable site.

You're welcome.

I wouldn't pay for the phone app nor web access... the truth is that most, or more likely all, of what you might want to search for is available through Google links to free web sites.
