super nurse syndrome

I've heard of the "super nurse syndrome" but haven't been able to read any literature on it. I am interested to know more about what it is. I think it's about when nurses turn into martyrs and 'cope' with unreasonable conditions thus compromising patient care. If anyone knows where I can get hold of more info that would be great.
