Hi there! I'm currently in my 3rd semester in Ammerman's day program so I figured I could answer your question. You don't need to retake those prereqs, it just means you need those classes in order to take the nursing classes. For example micro is a co-req for NUR 240 so it would need to be taken before or with 240. If you didn't have it you would not be eligible to move on in the program. I hope that I explained that in a not so confusing way lol. Congrats!!!
I see the order for your classes is different than mine, NUR 240 is my third semester and peds/maternity is my final but same concept. As long as you took the prereqs listed for that semester you are fine! Contact Rita Link for any of your questions she's great and will be emailing you throughout your program :)

Hi, my name is Alexandra and I was accepted to the ammerman day program. I just paid my deposit today and I'm so excited!!! I was looking around on allnurses.com and didn't see any new threads about who got accepted and who is going and thought it would be fun to start one. I'll start the first topic...I was looking on the Suffolk website and saw that the first semester classes are
1. A&PI
2. Fundamentals of Nursing
3. Nursing Success
4. Health Assessment
5. Intro to Psych
I wanted to make sure that we don't have to retake A&PI or intro to psych since we have already taken it for prerequisites into the nursing program? I can't imagine that we would have to, but when I went to pay my deposit today and went to admissions the nursing counselor was not in. Almost every semester has classes that were prerequisites.
