Hello! I am curious if anyone else is in the same boat as me and can possibly give me some advice. I know a lot has changed with suffolk requirements and I know that the TEAs6 test is heavily weighted. I am trying to get into the fall program 2017, I am scheduled to take the TEAS test in 2 weeks and have been studying like a maniac! I am a bit nervous because seeing past threads, i have never taken any A&P classes, and I've seen most of the people who get accepted have taken them. Do I still have a good chance of possibly getting accepted with just my TEAS score (if i score well) and some of my liberal art class grades? I graduated with my associates degree in hotel management, so not many credits are useable. Thanks in advance :)

I did well with just A&P 1. Not going to lie, the science was TOUGH and was my weakest section. But if you score really well on the other sections you'll have a chance.

I'm applying for Suffolk nursing program too
Psychology -B
Chem 100 - B
A&P 1 - B+
A&P 2 - C+
Teas -58.7 %
I know I have a low score on my teas 🙠I'm doing it over but it might be to late . Has anyone gotten in with a low Teas score?
With a 58.7 you just made proficient so you are technically able to apply, but with the competitiveness of the program I would suggest retaking and applying for the night program in August or the following September for day. I'm pretty sure my 75 may not even get me in. Not trying to be harsh, it's just not easy to get in. If you study a lot, you will improve your score...it's a hard test. Good luck!!

My husband applied for the Suffolk program as well for fall 2017
he has:
Chem A
ANP 1 A
ANP 2 A
PSY A
ENG A
and he tested in advanced for TEAS
hope he gets in. Does anyone know when letters will be going out?
The letters will come around March 10th. I would say he most likely will definitely get in...with those grades and an advanced TEAS score, I wouldn't worry at all.
My husband got accepted to grant fall 2017!!

Hey everyone so I took the TEAS yesterday and did not do as well as I wanted. I received an overall grade of 63.3%. For reading I got a 63.8%, for science I got a 46.8% which really upset me but I mainly studied cells and reproduction and I still have to take A&PII, for English I got a 62.5% and for math I got a 84.4% which brought my total average to a 63.8%.
I already took the following classes:
A&P 1- B+
English 101- B+
English 102- A
Statistics- B
Psyc- C
His 101- A
I applied for both Grant and Ammerman ‘s evening nursing program and I was wondering if anyone thinks I may have a chance. I am very upset about my score on the TEAS & I only took it one time so I will get 2 additional points for that .
According to the rubric I only have 38 points since I scored proficient. Does anyone know if the Grant/Ammerman night program is easier to get into? Also should I apply to the LPN or would they then maybe give me less of a chance for the RN program. =[
