Christine,
I did the online Kaplan course to which you are referring. It was complete and comprehensive. I worked very hard to learn the material and it was time consuming. When I took the practice tests at the end, I got very frustrated because I could never get above 69%, and usually scored in the 63% to 65% range. I was scared to death to take the NCLEX for that reason.
BUT - when I took the NCLEX, it seemed easy by comparison. I knew how to answer the questions. The computer shut off at 75 questions and while I knew there was a chance I hadn't passed, I was fairly confident of my results. Sure enough, two days later, there was the "pass" on my results page.
So do I think it was worth the money, time, hard work, and frustration? Absolutely. And Kaplan is what I would recommend to anyone who has failed NCLEX the first time around. Good luck to you. Denise

I am preparing to study for NCLEX for the 2nd time. The first time I took the test I only missed passing by a few questions. I did an online course through nclex.com and studied from a book. I felt confident taking the test. I was researching and found Kaplan offers many review courses; there is one that is for 3 months and $349 online. I have the money, but i was wondering if anyone took a Kaplan course and thought that it was worth investing their money into. Thanks and congrats to those that have passed!
